When Elle and Patrick meet with her friend and social worker Clark for the first time, Patrick is immediately suspicious of him. Did you trust his instincts or think maybe he was being overly suspicious?

I trusted Patrick. Kincaids have good instincts.

I wasn't sure about Clark. He was just . . . difficult. He was not helpful, but he wasn't unhelpful either. I definitely thought there was something off and I trusted Patrick's instincts.

I definitely went with Patrick’s perceptions, especially when he outlined his reasons for being suspicious. After rereading that interaction, I saw what he did. And, when Clark went to make a phone call as soon as Elle walked away but ditched it when he saw Patrick, he soared into the untrustworthy zone.

I didn't see what he felt, but I would always trust Patrick's instincts.

I'm all in with trusting Patrick's instincts here.

I trust Patrick. He presented his case effectively.

I know that people tend to come to the defense of people they know, but my goodness Elle made too many bad calls where Clark is concerned.

And Elle had no basis for trusting her own “instincts” about people. She had none.
