ladymurmur | 29 comments Greetings, gentle neighbors!

I'm participating in the "Around the Year in 52 Books" challenge this year. Among the prompts is one that I think I could satisfy with some of my Austenesque readsr: 3 books related to "Past, Present, Future".

I have any number of JAFF titles in my TBR that are set during the Regency period (past), and a number of modern day retellings (present), but need help finding JAFF set in the future.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) Well, it's not primarily set in the future but the frame tale at the beginning and end is set in the future: The Jane Austen Project by Kathleen Flynn. It's about a pair of future scientists who are sent into the past to secure the confidence of the Austen family because they have learned that The Watsons was actually finished, even though only the fragment is known. Their task is to obtain the complete manuscript, and also to learn the contents of the letters destroyed by Cassandra Austen, and return to their present.

Pride and Prejudice on Mars
Cynthia the Invincible

Are there more?

My novel STEAMPUNK DARCY is futuristic. Set in a post-apocalyptic world with a Victorian feel.

*snort* I still need to read it and I'm glad you consider it a re-read possibility.

Oh! Thank you for reminding me of this title, Monica! It is in my TBR collection already, but I hadn't realized it was futuristic. Extra fun knowing that the author is in this group. :-)
