Dave Williams | 100 comments Hi Grace,
I'm Dave J. Williams, author of the Medieval fantasy 'Sineria: The Great Kingdom' and its sequel 'Sineria: Age of War.' The sequel currently sits at only three reviews, so I'd rather put that up for review, but if you'd like a synopsis of the first book or prefer it before this one, I can definitely provide that. I'll put the synopsis for 'Sineria: Age of War' below.

Eight years have passed since the mad wizard, Kraydon, attacked Sineria. Hayden, now a young adult living in a castle near two of his best friends, soon finds out things aren't easy for even the best of Sinerians. When an insane warlord threatens to wipe Sineria and all other kingdoms off the map with her infamous and feared army, Sineria finds only one way to protect themselves: war. However, a fight for a kingdom isn't easy, especially when a mysterious, endangered, titanic dragon rampaging throughout eastern Europe threatens the existence of all living things, adding to the worries. Hayden, struggling internally to mature and become a young adult while dealing with a powerful army and their dragon, finds himself in a world he never could imagine. His only options: listen to the king like a mature adult and hide out until the war is over, or unleash his inner warrior from eight years ago to attempt to take down the immense threats. One option will determine the fate of Sineria and all other kingdoms.

I can email this book as a .pdf to you if you'd like to review it. Have a great day.

Dave J. Williams

Gifford MacShane (goodreadscomgifford_macshane) | 15 comments Hi, Grace, I write adult Historical Fiction and have a 90-page novella set in Ireland during the Great Potato Famine. Would love for you to review it!

Blurb:

1848: the third year the potato crop failed in Ireland. The Protestant landlords have absconded back to Britain, leaving the Catholic peasants to fend for themselves, while the English feast on the massive amounts of Irish food they’re importing every day.

With two younger brothers to feed, Molly O'Brien takes her father's place on the road gang, building a road that runs from her tiny village to the river and no farther. Yet sixteen hours of labor a day will not garner enough wages to buy food for her family.

She is beyond despair. Beyond prayer. And so far beyond the tenets of her childhood, she has decided to offer her body to the first man with the price of a loaf of bread.

At that moment, a voice behind her speaks...

Groovy Lee Hi, Grace

If you're still taking review requests, I would like to submit A Body Resurrected, a Kindle Thriller with elements of sci-fi in the plot. If the blurb interests you, you can contact me at atreyhu3333@att.net. A Body Resurrected is available in Amazon gift, Epub, or Mobi. Thank-you.

Blurb:
Sixteen year-old Mira lives a quiet life in her small village in Lower Egypt 3303 B.C.E. But two visitors from the planet Aut are about to change that. The first to arrive is Demen, a tall mystery with skin the color of black coal, and a murderous charm just as dark. The second ship crash lands into a deep ravine with a bounty-hunter named Weir in pursuit. Against her father’s wishes, Mira becomes Weir’s accomplice in his mission to apprehend Demen before another woman dies by his hands.

But there’s a problem: Demen is now a powerful Pharaoh in the city of Sharkura. Will the ultimate confrontation between them cost Weir and Mira their lives?

It’s now the 21st century—he’s back:

Tina Leggs oversees the everyday affairs of the Graham-Arlee museum in Almay California. She has no idea that the mummy exhibit drawing huge crowds, is the same Demen that her ancestor, Mira, bravely faced centuries ago.

Demen is no longer a powerful Pharaoh. Now, he’s nothing more than a museum relic unearthed from the Valley of the Kings. But a rare occurrence will give him life once more. And his desire to kill the misery known as woman is as strong as ever.

Enter Q, a second bounty-hunter sent from Aut to capture him. Like Mira, Tina has been cast into the role of ally to this handsome visitor. Amid the destruction Demen is causing, and the risk to their lives to stop him, Q works on capturing Tina’s heart, which she gives freely.

But, will she leave her family on Earth for the sake of that love?

Leslie Garland | 197 comments Hi Grace,

Right now I am seeking reviews - particularly Amazon reviews, though all are welcome! - for my book The Red Grouse Tales The Red Grouse Tales (The Little Dog and Other Stories) by Leslie Garland and I’m wondering if you might be interested in reading and reviewing it.

To the blurb:-

Told in The Red Grouse Inn, the universal appeal of these four charming, very different, adult, speculative, spiritual and philosophical tales will intrigue and entertain. With beautiful and atmospheric imagery, surreal and paranormal concepts of angels, ghosts and devils, they will have you guessing, turning the pages and looking forward to the next one.

The Little Dog, a story of good and evil and retribution. Very much a coming of age story and told in the manner of all the stories in our lives, namely that we have no idea that we are ‘living in a story’ until suddenly all seems to click together. A young forester partnered with an objectionable workmate, finds a little dog way out in a remote part of the forest. What is such a cute little dog doing there? Bill, the teller of this tale, becomes a bit attached to it and looks forward to seeing it every day sitting beside the haul road. Then one day the little dog is no longer there and Bill starts to learn some dreadful truths.

The Crow, a sad, poignant story of misunderstanding, bitterness and blame. Another coming of age story but on a very different theme; that of human vanity. A young boy is taken by his mother to visit a dying and embittered old Irish priest, Mad Father Patrick, who recounts the school days and subsequent rise of a local councillor and of his involvement in the construction of a dam which flooded a valley. As the tale progresses it becomes increasingly bizarre, indeed, mad, and we finally learn why the old priest so bitter.

The Golden Tup, a dreadful tale of a young couple’s paradise being cruelly taken from them by latent evil. Can evil be in a place? A slow burning horror story; this one opens with the appalling news that a nice young couple, who had bought an old derelict farm and made it into their ‘dream home,’ had killed their own baby. How could they have done such a dreadful thing? The story, told predominantly in flash-back and with references to Milton’s Paradise Lost, charts their lives and how this horrific act came to pass.

The White Hart, a happy ghost story, if there can be such a thing! A tale of redemption told by a likeable male chauvinist, Pete, who recounts his meeting with an albino doe while out in the forest on a jog, his subsequent meeting with an enigmatic and beautiful girl at a remote chapel who tells him the sad story of the daughter of the family which built it, and a third incident …..

I usually say my stories are for adult readers because they are not ‘all action’ from page 1, and may contain some minor mention of sex and a tiny bit of bad language. However, I suspect they are very possibly suitable for a NA and even a YA readership.
Page count is 370 pages.
The book is written in UK English.

If these tales interest you and you are prepared to review them and post your review in timely manner (sorry, but I don’t want this just being added to a one mile long TBR list!) on, particularly Amazon, though all others are welcome, I will be happy to supply you with a free PDF, mobi or epub file.

Hoping that my book appeals, that you will be interested in reading and reviewing it and so looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Leslie Garland

It's a young adult historical novel, called Roman Identity that features a young, introspective, male protagonist who is still struggling to find the one thing that eludes him. Michelle, The Book Critic (michellethebookcritic) | 10 comments Hi Grace,

I’m a book reviewer, but I would like to forward a review opportunity from my author friend, Loris Owen (https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...). You can contact her at hello@lorisowen.com

She is currently working on the US edit of her middle-grade literary fiction novel, 'The Ten Riddles of Eartha Quicksmith', published in the UK by Firefly Press. It is clean fiction, a fantasy action adventure for fans of Artemis Fowl and Harry Potter, and has been described as "Big Hero 6 meets Gravity Falls"!

Puzzles and riddles encourage critical thinking, and teamwork, empathy, family and friendships are important throughout. You can find out more at www.quicksmiths.com.

As she’s self-publishing in the US with no author presence there, and only has a small budget to do this, I'm really keen to help to spread the word to other reviewers!

She can send you a copy of the UK print (whether you are based in the UK or US) any time. The US print version won't be available for another month or so as she is still finalising illustrations and final touches.

If you are interested, please email Loris at hello@lorisowen.com! Let her know if you'd like the UK print or prefer to wait for the US print :)

If you are not based in the UK or US, let her know as well. I’m not entirely sure if she ships internationally, but you can always check! Her ebook will be ready to share in a few more weeks as well.

Thank you so much for your consideration! Please help spread the word if you can.

Best,
Michelle, The Book Critic

Erik Swanson (eas94) | 4 comments Hello Grace,
I will be running a free e-book promotion for my Tales of Alandria series of books from Monday, April 15th till midnight on Friday, April 19th on Amazon. I would love to have them reviewed. This will be for the first two installments “Tales of Alandria Bridging of Worlds” and “Tales of Alandria Descent of Knights”. Both books take place within the world of Alandria.

In the first installment the eastern kingdoms of the western continent are locked in a state of civil war that was started by Thane Ethamec and aided by the Dark Lord Lufarian, but the rebellion is crushed by the combined forces of Narivangia and Romir lead by Prince Hithúrian and his cohorts nearly at the cost of his own life. Alongside that plot, an orphaned farmer Iragnar and his cousin John struggle to keep their farm afloat in his uncle’s absence with being called to war as a greedy sheriff takes advantage of the conflict for his own benefit. With the rebellion crushed, Lufarian then schemes of another way to bring the world under his heel with opening an ancient portal. Outside of the dimension Alandria is in, a futuristic power, the Anurian Republic, attempts to develop technology to extend itself through the multiverse. All will come narrowing down to the end. New allies and enemies will be made, people of different classes will band together and form an unlikely bond, and a kingdom will fall.

In the second installment the world of Alandria is under siege by the Dark Lord and his new allies, the Anurians. Many lands have been taken in the past months. The kingdoms of Narivangia and Romir fight on to ward off being dominated by the futuristic forces. The Magi Brotherhood and Knights of Eremor ride to King Horus’s request for aid in defending the eastern border of Romir. King Hithúrian and John Calamir come to King Horus and Princess Alania whilst they evacuate Oathera. The two kings ride to the west to consolidate a new plan in combating the overwhelming forces of the Dark Lord. Little do they know Captain Drizeppi and his squads pursue them across the lands with intent on capturing them. Behind the threat of an oncoming invasion of the Dark Lord’s forces, treacheries will be revealed. Off to the western mountainous regions, Iragnar Calamir trains in the Magi’s Apprentice Guild at the Amonfort. Iragnar discovers new friends amongst the apprentices and Elders there. Aramor watches the boy’s studies and training, taking him under his wing to be his only apprentice.
