We also get another point of view from December 2007. Did you have any idea as to whom, what and how it related to the story? Was it a distraction or were you able to assimilate it with other clues?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Ugh. I'm getting my books mixed up in my head. Too many mysteries with too many flashbacks in the past week. Who were the flashbacks about?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) I guessed the flashback was giving us some insight in the killer. It didn't throw any light on who it was though.

The flashbacks were from Anna’s son who abducted and tortured his female classmate. I was lost every time we went to his point of view. I couldn’t figure out what he had to do with the story until the very end.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments The flashbacks confused me. I went back and skimmed the previous books to try and figure out where he fit in. It didn't help.

I’m not sure this device worked so well in this story.

Lynn (ftbooklover) I was distracted and didn't really understand it until almost the very end. I see what the author was trying to do, but it was a bit confusing.
