Books that I think that everyone should read include Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, Hamlet by William Shakespeare, The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, along with The King James Bible. These are just a few of my favorites.
