Valerie | 280 comments Unfortunately, in my childhood there were not as many great stories and authors as there are today. But, I do recall Roald Dahl, and his quirky stories.

One such story I remember having been read to me when I was in fourth grade, but all that stood out for me were the Vermicious Knids. So, I decided I would read it for myself, and relive some joy from my elementary school days.

And, it was a nice trip down memory lane; but definitely a change in tone, and style than I have been use to in the books I read for myself. Even the young author books I read like Rick Riordan, and Brandon Mull have a much different tone and vocabulary.

But, still, the magic of Dahl and his works will forever enchant children everywhere, and whether it be in an elevator, a peach or a chocolate factory....I think five stars are always in order.
