4/5 Stars- The Project is a very well written book that is dark and disturbing. This novel is about a family tradgey that leaves two sisters dealing with the fallout of a car accident that killed their parents. The older sister Bea becomes involved with the Unity Project and leaves Lo behind. This was a hard book to read at times because of the dialog the leader of the Unity Project, Lev Warren uses to recuite his followers. It is amazing to me how people can blindly follow a person in these cult situations.
5/5 I could not stop reading this book. I had to know what was going to happen next. It is full of mystery and suspense and will leave the reader wanting to know more. I do have to agree with Brenda that the dialog of Lev Warren was a bit hard to read at times. I am recommending this book for my adult friends as well as YA readers who love suspense novels.
4/5 because wow! It's insane to me what people will do because of one charismatic person. It's a pretty good story and I think that our YA readers will enjoy it.
I agree that I did have to read to the end of this book because I did want to know what was going to happen. I personally would not have read this book as a teen but I can see that it would appeal to some YA readers. 3.5/5
I liked this book. It definitely had several twists and turns and mysteries. It shows how even the strongest of people can be easily manipulated, and it shows the dangers of cults. I’m not sure I’d put it on the list, but it was a good read. 4/5
