The first includes a vampire. The human MC finds her in the basement with her dad (her mom isn't there, I think she either died or divorced idk but it was only the dad). The books removed all the stereotypes of vampires. We get to get into the vampire MC's pov as well, and she clears those up, saying that she loves the sun and garlic. And one thing I remember is that vampires were banned from the human world and killed years ago, but she finds someone like her, a dude, and instead of helping each other, they attack each other. She attacks him because he does and she defends herself. She also has natural speed faster than anyone and participates in running practice in school (the human mc convinces her dad to let her go with her) and some girls suspect her.
I remember all of this but not the name ughhhh
And the second is one with elves, gnomes, dwarves and literally all kinds of creatures of such. It's where there are multiple MCs but it is written from the pov of the protagonist. She goes to a school of supernatural that is only for kids like her where they practice magic (and she later on finds out she has it, like really later on). I remember they were too young to go to some underground place where they can buy stuff but they sneaked off anyways. In that underground place, I remember the assault one of them got because their kind (species) wasn't liked. This is like racism in our world. And I remember how they snuck in, and the people that gave them trouble, and the potions and vials they saw. They also celebrated someone's birthday and got M&Ms. And one of the books were them investigating something weird happening in the boarding school they were in. Oh, and most of the friend group had has girl and boy get together at the end
Hope the descs are vivd enough. Very weird stuff that I'm remembering.

Hmm sorry, I have no clue! I'm sure I would have remembered if I read the book/series, but I don't think I've read these books!
