Hi Everyone!

I thought I would invite those looking for an active group to read and discuss monthly reads together each month.

Shine & Shadow

-2 monthly reads; 1 "dark" (psychological thrillers, speculative/dystopian, dark fantasy, gothic, horror) and 1 "light" (not necessarily light-hearted, but perhaps comforting, hopeful, compassionate writing)
-March 2021 reads are Ring Shout by P. Djeli Clark & Moshi moshi by Banana Yoshimoto
-April 2021 group read polls are currently up

Indeed! If you pop over to the group, you can check it out and see if it is something you're interested in. Like a book club, but online...

This month we are reading Ring Shout & Moshi Moshi... next month we are going to read The Year of the Witching & On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous.

Member nominations are taken and then everyone votes in a poll to determine the reads for the next month. There are threads open for discussions about each specific book 🙂

Dark: Princess Bari by Hwang Sok-yong
Light: Meridian by Alice Walker
World Tour: Lotus by Lijia Zhang
*World Tour read will be a different country every month. May is China.
