Shadow and Bone is coming to Netflix in April

Big fan of Six of Crows here! I'm excited to see how they incorporate both series together. Bardugo created an amazing fantasy world, so to see it comes to life will be pretty amazing. Side note - because I love Six of Crows so much, I have very high expectations. I'm always a little nervous when a favorite book of mine is turned into a movie or tv show.

There are several Leigh Bardugo fans on staff at the Library, myself included. Needless to say we were super excited when Netflix dropped their newest teaser for Shadow and Bone, based on Leigh's best-selling series.
I mean, it looks good, right!? The Shadowfold? Check. Alina and Mal? Check and check. The Darkling? All the checks.
But, wait. Is that Japser? Kaz? Inej? Apparently, yes, in spite of the fact that Kaz and his gang of thieves don't appear in the Grishaverse timeline until after the events in the Shadow and Bone trilogy.
So we had questions. Fortunately, Entertainment Weekly had (some) answers. Check it out to see what showrunner Eric Heisserer and Leigh Bardugo herself have to say about the upcoming series.
Leigh also used her personal Instagram to introduce us to the actors who will be bringing her books to life.
Currently, I'm feeling pretty optimistic. I mean, adaptations can be great. Look at Bridgerton. The Queen's Gambit. Or the first five seasons of Game of Thrones. But, whatever happens, we'll have plenty to talk about.
Shadow and Bone premiers April 23rd on Netflix.
