Hi Lily!
The goal of this challenge is to read new books! So, only choose books you haven't read before. If you read a book this calendar year (2021) or this school year (2020–2021), you may use that book for any one category!
Let me know if that doesn't make sense.
Challenge–wise. . . .
I just read The Ickabog, and I liked it! I think you will too! :)
What do you like in a classic? There are many different classics that you may choose. Some of my personal favorite classics on the list were The Great Gatsby and To Kill a Mockingbird.
Wonderstruck can work. Who was it by? Can you use the book link?
There are a lot of different poets out there. If you want something more timeless, I'd check out Walt Whitman or Emily Dickinson. If you want something more for Middle Grade readers, try Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein.
Let me know if you need any other recs!
~Asia :)

Okay, so, Lily. . . .
I think since Wonderstruck is 500+ pages, I don't think you could consider it a true "picture book." Therefore, you should probably pick a different book for the challenge.
For the link, you would click "add book/author." However, that only works if you are on a laptop or in "Desktop Mode" on the Mobile Website. I would stray from using the Mobile app, as it is the most restrictive.
There is an alternative method:
If you type it like this only without the spaces:
[ book:Wonderstruck|10128428 ]
It will look like this:
Wonderstruck
And, you are so welcome for all the recs!

I enjoyed The Day the Crayons Quit and its sequel The Day the Crayons Came Home.
Remember, there is that alternative method of typing it out yourself. (see above^^)

2 things:
1. The numbers at the end link to a specific edition of a book. So, when you tried to link The Day the Crayons Quit, you accidentally linked it to Wonderstruck instead. Also, you can use spaces after "book:" but not in between the brackets.
2. There is a audiobook version on it on YouTube. Audiobooks count!

lol, yeah. That's okay, but now you know! Just eliminate the number when you add a book or author:
BOTH [ book:The Cruel Prince ] and [ book:The Cruel Prince|26032825 ] (minus the extra spaces) look like this:
The Cruel Prince
BOTH [ author:Holly Black|25422 ] and [ author:Holly Black ] (again, minus the extra spaces) look like this:
Holly Black

Yep, no problem!
I'm a bit older and have been on GR longer, so I've had time to learn everything! You'll learn too, in time! :)

ABOUT:
This challenge is composed of 8 different tasks (or categories).
You may not use the same book in more than one category, even if the book fits in multiple categories. You may choose which challenge to complete with that book, but it can only be used once.
The goal of this challenge is to complete eight tasks during this year, 2021. Therefore, only choose works that you have not read/watched previously.
Below are the 8 categories of the challenge. I've described what is required for each category. I've also tried to give you a few examples. You do not have to use any of the examples I've provided. I just wanted to give you a basic idea of what I want. Feel free to pick whatever book (or movie) you want, as long as it fits into the category.
CATEGORIES:
