Dom My husband is a big sci-fi / fantasy and Brandon Sanderson fan. But he hasn't read this series yet and his birthday is coming up. Is it more YA though, and in the same league as BS's other books?

Brent I am 26 and I thought it was a highly enjoyable space fantasy story with a good plot. I do not personally put it at the same level of Stormlight Archive, but it's also not as lengthy and heavy on world-building. The only thing that he might not like if it isn't his preference is that the story takes place almost exclusively from the point of view of a 16/17 year old girl. If that's not his cup of tea, this might not be the book for him.

Jovie I definitely think that this book is worth it for any YA or even Adult to read. The way it draws the reader in can catch anyone into the world of it with just one sentence. Sure, it is written about a teenage girl but the story line is absolutely fascinating. 10/10 recommend

Brian I read this last year as a 39 year old man and really enjoyed it.

Mark August Also agree that this is a great book for any age. The protagonist is young adult, but the action and themes are great across the generations. More than 50% of YA readers are actually adults.
