In April we'll be doing things a little different. Instead of having a genre poll, we will just have a book poll. All the books will be from authors in the group. I want to make sure at some point, our authors have the opportunity to get their books read by the group.

Here's how it will work:

*If you are an author, with a self-published book, and are a member of this group, and you want your book to be considered, you'll need to tag your book in this thread.
*If we have already read one of your books, please let others have a chance.
*Please only tag one book
*If we have more than six entries, I'll use a random generator app to select six, saving the others for a future poll.
*Once we have a minimum of 5, max of 6, I'll create a poll and everyone can vote for their favorite.
*The winning book will be our April BOTM.
*Those that didn't get selected will remain on our bookshelf, and may still be included in future polls.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Hi, use the add book/author bit at the top of the reply box and choose cover instead of link.

Hey everyone, so I'm going to leave submissions open until the 15th. That way we are sure everyone had a chance to submit their book in the thread.

After that, if we have more than 6 submissions, I'll use a random generator to narrow it down to 6. Then the poll will go up on the weekend of the 19th.

As of now we have 6 submissions. If it stays that way, all 6 will be on the poll. 😉

Today is the last day to enter your book for consideration for the April BOTM.

Since we already have more than 6, I will be entering all in a random generator to narrow it down to 6. But since that means there are several that won't make it on the poll. We'll do this again this summer, maybe June?

I'll keep everyone posted!

Don't forget, authors, the best way to ensure your book gets more reviews from the group, is for us to have more members. So, on the top right of the groups homepage, click on invite members, and then click all, then invite. Let's get those numbers up!

Hi Andy, the deadline for submissions was on the 15th, but it seems a lot were excited about this idea, so we'll do it again this summer. Be sure to check back for details.

These are the books that were submitted prior to the March 15th deadline:

One Dark Night

Reasonable Lies

Secrets of the Past

LOTTIE JONES AND THE MAGICAL REALMS: DRAGORON

The Gap

The Mathews Family

War of the Twin Swords

A Heart's Salvation

My Dawn Is Only Five Hours Away

There were 9 books submitted prior to the march 15th deadline. Today, I'll enter them in a random generator app, so we can narrow it down to 6 choices.

message 30: by Abby (new)

Abby Snodgrass | 537 comments Mod
Alright everyone, using a random generator app, I narrowed our 9 choices down to 6. To those of you that did not get selected, don't worry, we will do this again this summer, and that's assuming your book isn't selected the normal way during a genre month.

Here are the 6 choices:

One Dark Night

Reasonable Lies

LOTTIE JONES AND THE MAGICAL REALMS: DRAGORON

The Mathews Family

War of the Twin Swords

My Dawn Is Only Five Hours Away

All 6 of these books are on our bookshelf, but I'll be working to move them to a new shelf titled, April BOTM. That way they are all easy to find, in case you want to read the synopsis before voting.

Our poll will be up later today, so be sure to vote. It will be open until the 26th.

Remember authors, reviews help, so even if your book isn't selected, we ask that you still read the chosen book, and leave a review. Your support will absolutely be returned!

Hi Kiandra, so glad you joined us. I try to post free books or kindle countdown deals when I come across them in the book offers thread, so that's a good place to look for recommendations. Also check out our bookshelf. There are tons of really good books in there.

Right now, I'm reading book #4 in A Fairy Awesome Series. Books 1 through 3 have already released, and I highly recommend the series. A Fairy Awesome Story

Tomorrow, (or maybe today) I'll link the book here for everyone to access easily. Our members will then read the book at their own pace throughout the month of April, and leave the links to their reviews on this feed.

You don't need to offer free copies to the readers, because we want to support you, and downloading or purchasing is part of that.

Congratulations. I can't wait to read your work!

Thanks Abby! Looks like a good read but I didn't vote for it because it is 655 pages and I can't commit that kind of time in April. Count me in for the next book at or around 300 pages.
