Hello everyoneeee!! I'm so excited for this book and so excited to talk with everyone about it!I'll be highlighting some quotes as I go, but will try to stay as spoiler-free as possible!

So far, I've gotten through only the prologue but I'm already so invested. From what I can tell so far, it's written in a way that really mirrors thought processes, making it so you're learning alongside the MC without realizing you are, without the need for excess exposition. The way little details are also slipped in to foreshadow without being like Hey Look At Me is also incredible, and makes it fun to read carefully, to make sure you're really soaking everything up as you go. I'm stoked for the rest 🥰 How are y'all feeling so far about it?
I'm loving the book so far i am only up to chaper two though. I like the way you are learning along with the MC and all the characters that have been introduced so far!

I dont have a favourite character just yet but i am leaning towards the main character do you have a fave?

That's valid!! She's such a beautifully written and such a real character, and I found it so easy to connect to her 🥰 Has it been the same with you?
I'm always a sucker for the broody characters haha So I think Sel is very high up there on my favs, especially the more we learn about him. There's a few others but they're in later chapters!!

hey hey everyone, so i’m about 150 pages in and i’m finding it really difficult to not “understand” but “grasp” i guess the entire plot. i like the character and everything and bree is absolutely wonderful but she goes from knowing absolutely nothing of the legendborn and the onceborn and everything like that to understanding in a few sentences. i don’t know wether anyone else is having the same “problem” (i use that lightly) as me but i just feel like i’ve missed a huge chunk of information out???
I am almost at 200 pages and do feel like we are given so much information all at once. As the story goes on im understanding it more but I do feel bree should have maybe been abit more unsure of everything and still processing the information fpr longer, because as the book is written like (TK said at the beginning) as though we are learning along with the MC
That's true, Lauren & Ellie!! I did like that at the beginning we're learning along with her, but as things get more convoluted, Bree kinda. jumps to knowing everything right away? Which definitely had me rereading a lot in a few places with information. I also get tripped up on that because everything happens so so so fast (like 2 weeks total is the timeline of the book I think?) which throws me off a little.I do think the book acknowledges how crazy things are and how wildly removed from the real world the Legendborn reality is as you go in further, and I do definitely think that Bree as a character still grieving is willing to accept any version of reality so long as it gets her closer to her goal- Which could be the reason why she accepts everything and thus learns it so quickly? Not to excuse our own reader confusion, though, lol. The timeline of things is just a little too fast, I think. What do y'all think?
yess definitely everything is happening so fast like when I'm reading, about 3 major events happen in an evening when my brain thought they were over a couple of days. I also agree that bree is more accepting of the situation because she's still grieving as its only been like 3 months since her mother accident.

I am 100 pages in and I am so confused. It feels like I missed a few chapters. I had high expectations for this book, but the more that I read the harder it is for me to keep going. The characters and writing are great so far.
so I just finished the book and all I can say is I loved it, yeah it had some pacing problems and the explanations and revelations at the end did feel rushed in my opinion but I liked it. I cant wait for the next one and see where it goes next!!
same here ellie! finished it today and honestly i can get past the whole fast paceness (yes i know that not a word) of the entire book just by the pure level of absolute brilliance that this book was. i loved the different reps of characters (i’ve never read a book with a non-binary person in it before that that was wonderful) and defiantly when it came to bree’s family and culture that it just gave the entire book a whole new meaning
yes Lauren I agree the representation was was vast and honestly more books need more representation as a whole!
Hi all! I’m on p125 at the minute and am starting to enjoy it. It was quite tedious to begin with (in my opinion) but it’s now really picking up and I look forward to reading more. I don’t always enjoy fantasy and I worried this would be one of those books that I didn’t enjoy but it is quite good! I will update when finished :)

I’m loving the story so far, and i really like *SPOILER* Nick and Bree’s relationship & especially the consent in the first kiss scene made me really happy *SPOILER OVER*
Ooh and I like the way she’s brought the discussion of racism into the fantasy world, it’ll be a really great point to discuss on the lives!
