1001 Children's Books You Must Read Before You Grow Up discussion

While have loved reading books from "1001 Children's Books You Must Read Before You Grow Up," (and am almost done), one of the big disappointments is that so many of the books are not available in an English translation. That is one reason that I love book lists like this one I found on List Challenges.

the List Challenges looks interesting, will revisit

Kind of dated now, and with an emphasis on English language books, but I recommend The Read-Aloud Handbook.

And of course, Goodreads has many great book lists on many subjects.
