Challenge Corner discussion

Touraine is a soldier. Stolen as a child and raised to kill and die for the empire, her only loyalty is to her fellow conscripts. But now, her company has been sent back to her homeland to stop a rebellion, and the ties of blood may be stronger than she thought.

Luca needs a turncoat. Someone desperate enough to tiptoe the bayonet's edge between treason and orders. Someone who can sway the rebels toward peace, while Luca focuses on what really matters: getting her uncle off her throne.

Through assassinations and massacres, in bedrooms and war rooms, Touraine and Luca will haggle over the price of a nation. But some things aren't for sale.

I got the audible audiobook so I'm excited to get into this one

I started it a little bit yesterday

I already like the narrator and accents. The narrator reminds me of the voice actor of the female MC from the Netflix show Castlevania (The one with the blue robes) but i haven't looked it up yet to see if she's the same person or not

But, the point is-I like the narration lol

End of part 2 (view spoiler)[ I'm pretty bored at not following this as well as I should. I don't like Luca and I hoped there would be more spying in this.
The relationship between Luca and Touraine feels wrong, like Luca has too much power over Touraine and it doesn't feel right. (hide spoiler)]
