I read mainly paperbacks and hardbacks. And I do listen to music while I read! An interesting habit I have is sometimes when something happens in a book that I don't like, I flip back to a scene that I enjoyed and re-read it.
That's great, I agree with basically everything you said XD. Except I don't really listen to audio books because then my attention strays lol.

Ken- I don't read manga lol, but that sounds cool! So you read manga online?
Logan- I also prefer physical books too. Haha, it is quite satisfying to read while it's raining, it's quite calming. :)

Ken- Cool!
I agree with you Ash! Haha, I crave chocolate too XD. I literally always have a bar of chocolate by me when reading lol.

I looove listening to the sound of rain while reading so I use this Rainy Victorian London ambience sound from YouTube and sometimes I search for other specific ambiences that go with my book's vibe :)

Ash- Aaah Butterfingers, Almond Joys and Hershey's are my favorite. :)
Naomi- Yeah, I feel you. It's harder to get hard copies of books now at this time. But ooh that sounds great! I should check that out, it never occurred to me to listen to that, I've just been reading when it actually rains XD.
Jesse- That's cool! Yeah I go by moods too. It kind of depends on the mood of my book and I'll change the music lol.

Ash- Ooh! You should try them. :)
Rushali- I can understand why music can be distracting lol. Sometimes you just need silence to focus. :)

Yeah....But sometimes if the music is synonymous to what I am currently reading, it feels good!

There are times when I could read in the middle of like a concert and other days when I'll freak out if I hear a bird chirping outside

You have to create an account but it's free and doesn't ask for credit card info. Just an email address and then you can download 10 books per day (books and textbooks as well). And also in many languages - I've seen english, spanish, french, italian and russian)
I hope you guys find it useful!

THERE'S AN IMPOSTER AMONG US?!

I like reading hardcover most of the time but paperback works just as fine. I hate audiobooks, but online books are okay. I love listening to acoustic music while reading as well.
I like listening to instrumental music while reading too! Sometimes if I listen to music with words while reading it can get quite distracting lol. Instrumental music is good for reading .:)
lemme start off by saying that when i saw "how do you read", my first thought was "with your eyes, bert"
but anyway, i like reading physical copies of books (preferably hardcovers), but getting into ebooks because of the pandemic. for some reason i hate audiobooks with a burning passion

I always really hate audiobooks, I don't know why. Maybe it's the peoples voices..

Is this supposed to be a q I read hard copies

I prefer paperbacks and hardbacks but whatever form I can get the book in is great :)
i mostly read ebooks and paperbacks. i can't listen to audiobooks as my attention always wanders. i read in complete silence unless i know a character death is coming, in which case i play my depressing music playlist and turn on my fairy lights to set the mood.

while physical copies of books feel closer to me emotionally, I don't have many — Kindle is just too convenient!
