I think this might be my favourite beginning to a Murderbot book so far. (view spoiler)[Like, Murderbot just so casually showcases just how freaking badass it is, but it doesn't realize that because it's too busy being annoyed with humans. XDDD (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I kind of forgot how sad the ending was. Poor Miki! Though this does make me wonder if we'll get to see ART again (also, I'm sooo curious as to what university owns that AI, because ART is just too smart lol).

Also, is it just me or did Wilken end up getting left behind on the facility...? xD

But I'm so happy that Murderbot has finally decided to go back to Dr Mensah! I hope the next book has the actual reunion~ (hide spoiler)]

Also! I found out there's two short stories in this 'verse! One set before the first actual novella, and the other set after Exit Strategy. I'm probably going to go ahead and read that prequel short story first as it's only a few pages long.

I'm only around 20% so far. I lost my Kindle for a few days (turns out one of my foster cats knocked it under the bed lol). I'll catch up in the next couple of days!

Sorry for disappearing! I haven't been in the mood to read lately and have only listened to audiobooks for the past week. I'll make an effort today to get through another chunk of the book!

That's okay! I haven't been reading much in the way of books for almost a week now. I've been a little too hooked on fanfiction lol (though I should probably try and get back to actual books... somehow)

(view spoiler)[Murderbot's sense of humour makes me laugh so much xD Even the sad things it says are packaged up in neat little jokes.

I agree, the ending was quite sad, Miki didn't deserve to die. It was nice to see someone being unconditionally nice to a bot for a change.

Yeah, I think Wilken did end up getting left behind... Makes me wonder if the combat bots got her or she was rescued by law enforcement in the end. (hide spoiler)]

I'd rather take a little break until next week - I have two other buddy reads going on this week.

I confess, I kind of speed-read through the next book xD But it's fine! I'll wait for you to get round to it. I'm not quite in a rush to start the novel yet - it still scares me a bit haha~
