Please only nominate one book.. The King book has already been chosen so don't list a King book. Check the bookshelf to see if we've already read the book as a group. Try to link your book so I'm able to make sure I post the right one. Thanks

message 24: by Sam (new)

Sam Martinovich | 2 comments We Begin At the End by Chris Whitaker. I'm nearly finished with it, and this book is phenomenal, written with a depth of characterization frequently found in the best King novels. Among those characters is a female child protagonist so stirring and well-defined that she would have made Harper Lee proud. I can't recommend this book enough.

Jen from Quebec :0) (muppetbaby99) | 52 comments I'd like to nominate The Hound of the Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle, if it hasn't been read. (I cannot open the previously read folder for some reason). Thanks. --Jen from Quebec :0)

Pauline Taylor The shining I watched the movie when I was 12 yr old it scared the hell out of me, overtime I stayed in a hotel loom at night myself I was allways close to my parents room, I ended up leaving the lights on and tv down low but just to make a little noise, and then if put my chair against the door after I checked the room like patrolling it every inch, and then put a chair behind the door and the lid of the toilet seat down before going to bed, that and amitavill horror and ghost stories with haunted houses. That thing I said I did after I saw the shinning? I’m 39 year old now, guess what? I still fo the same thing my bf thinks I’m nuts lol.

Pauline Taylor Even if I miss the challenge I’ll start the next one I like to mix my genres.

Sam Martinovich | 2 comments Nice to see the voting up and running! So far Midnight Library is in the lead- I’ve read that already and came away disappointed, a self help book disguised as a YA fantasy novel, so I probably wouldn’t read that again if it wins. I’d be curious to hear what the rest of you think about it if you end up reading it.

I liked it but (view spoiler) Didn't notice the Sherlock Holmes, but that looks very inviting.

Hey Amelia,

No, not for May. We do these every other month, so June will be the next one.

In the other months we just focus on a King novel.
