I just finished this one a couple nights ago. I liked this little side story. I enjoy stories like this of characters who weren't crucial to the main books. It's interesting to get their take on things & how they differed from the main story. I felt (view spoiler)[so badly for Bree throughout this whole book, though, knowing that she was going to die at the end. I wanted things to be different. You always have that hope that maybe something happened that wasn't shown originally & that just maybe she survived. I also felt badly for her because of the lousy life she had, the whole way through, even before she was turned into a vampire. She just never even stood a chance. (hide spoiler)]

I hated that (view spoiler)[Diego got killed as well. That was so sad. I'm glad that Fred managed to get away, however. It would be interesting to see his story now & where he ended up after leaving Riley's group. (hide spoiler)]

Overall, I liked this story, and I'd be interested in reading other ones like this, about various characters we met in the original series but who weren't focused on too much -- like some of Carlisle's friends in other vampire clans.

Yep surprisingly I like this more way way more than I was expecting. I enjoyed hearing Bree’a story
