Young Adult Fiction for Adults discussion

I've been thinking about it, and here are the only types of protagonists I see in YA anymore:

1) The Quirky girl: probably wears only vintage clothes, has a ~weird~ hobby. Not popular, but not unpopular. Example: Lola in Lola and the Boy Next Door, Liz in Better Than the Movies

2) Plain Jane: Usually has brown hair, always in jeans and a tee, thinks she's invisible at school (or wherever the story takes place) but obviously every guy is in love with her. Spends her lunches in the library. Example: Abby in You Have a Match, Bianca in The DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend

3) The Perfectionist: Super high strung, always needs to get perfect grades, probably a student athlete too. Example: Hadley in Moment of Truth, Bronwyn in One of Us Is Lying

4) The ~Self-Aware~ Funny girl: her book is probably written in second person POV, she uses humour to mask her deep dark traumas. Example: Jane Sinner in Nice Try, Jane Sinner, Izzy O'Neill in The Exact Opposite of Okay

1) The Most Popular Guy in School Who's Actually Super Sensitive. Example: Bryson Keller in Date Me, Bryson Keller, Peter Kavinsky in To All the Boys I've Loved Before

2) The Bad Boy with a Heart of Gold. Example: Doug in Forget You

3) The Class Clown but there's ~more that meets the eye~. Example: Jackson in Moment of Truth

4) The Weird Loner Who's Still Really Hot. Example: Charlie in Don't You Wish, Kent in Before I Fall

5) Brother's Best Friend. Example: Braden in On the Fence
