Sorry Goodreads voters... I know the winning vote on here was for By Gaslight but Leaving Time ultimately had more cumulative votes.

That being said, I don't think you will be disappointed in the book! This is one of my absolute favorite books on our Katie Book list for many many reason. First, because it has a little bit of every genre. Second, there are twists. Third, there was so much research done and I learned a lot. Fourth, it broke my heart and I am constantly haunted by parts of this story.... If you've read this book then you'll understand when I say: baby elephants.

I want to go on a complete ramble and gush (and cry) about this book but I don't want to give away any spoilers. So please, please tell me what you think of Leaving Time!

priska (priska3572) | 4 comments i'm heartbroken, i weep the last arc of the story. I don't know where to begin. I think elephants are my favorite animal now.
this book leaves me with such a bittersweet feeling , I definitely didn't see that ending,
half the book I was trying to understand who was alive and how ? what? when? the intrigue was so amazing, I feel like in a rolercoaster. i'm going to miss this characters.
to learn the moral o the book, can be such painful but necessary experience, when to let go and when its time to leave...

Valeria | 1 comments I finally finished this book. I absolutely loved it! I am a sucker for a plot twist and wow!! this definitely had a good one. The ending was completely unexpected and I loved it but it did make me want to cry a bit. The mother daughter relationships in this book were so strong, for better and for worse. I think I am with Priska on this one, elephants might be my new favorite animals. I loved getting to know all the facts and interesting things about them!
