Hummm...Kindle Vella. That's interesting. Competing with Royal Road & the others, I suppose. I went a different direction with my web serial...built a website so I could add multiple elements along with the chapter releases.

Writing ("Cold Obsidian" - fantasy novel) and drawing ("Gifts of Wandering Ice" - sci-fi comic).
I'm very new on Goodreads. Still trying to figure things out.

Oh wow, would be happy to hear some feedback :)
Which group do you mean? If it's the one in Webserials, then yes, it's my doing.

If you want to talk, I'll see it in both places, though I'm on the Discord group more often.
If you want to take a look at my webserial, it's called The Legion of Nothing and can be found at http://inmydaydreams.com. Honestly, you don't have to unless you're interested in it. The basic concept is that the grandchildren of World War 2 era superheroes recreate their grandparents' group in the modern day.
The earlier books in the series can accurately be described as YA. I'm not sure if that's true of later installments of the series.

I gave you a vote on top fiction. I haven't registered my story there yet, but I'm reminded that I need to. Thanks. I see you've published books. Do you take the web serial season down once you compiled it into a book? That's what I intend to do.
One challenge for me... There's so much content and so many links on the website that I'm a bit confused about what's what. Sorry about that. Oh, and I don't quite understand the "arc" numbers. Is that like subchapters?
Anyway, I like it, although for sure, it's not my genre. I hope it's been well received.

Hi Olga, I'm looking at obsidian trilogy now. It's a fun front page! And the navigation module it's great! It's a little slow for me to read in English, though. I'm guessing that's because it's a translation. Mine's at www.ourohiostory.com if you want to take a look.

People who like the webserial do want to read the final version, so I link to it and make it easy to find.
For the purpose of the site, an arc is a chapter-though it doesn’t always correspond to a chapter in the books.
It’s been reasonably well received. Most days I have more than 1000 page views. I successfully did a Kickstarter to pay for editing on the second and third book. A small press that went out of business published the first. Also, I’ve recently licensed the story to a comic company. That should start appearing in the fall if things go as planned.
That said, I’ve been doing this since 2007.

You're definitely on the long haul. Can you post a link to your webserial here. By the way, I'm not doing a good job of posting my comments in the right way. My apologies. I'm still figuring this out.

Hi Jim, that's fantastic! Thanks for explaining what you're doing. I love it that you're getting some good traffic.

Really interesting story & writing.

I just launched my first piece of serialized fiction on Amazon Kindle Vella, and I am in the same boat you were in a few years ago, as I see here by your comment. I hope it went well launching yours and you are still enjoying the process.
