We soon learn that characteristics of Pym’s murder match that of an earlier murder and those from three years ago, called the Ratcliffe Highway murders. Did you know at the time that this was a true crime from 1811?

I had read an article ahead of starting the book so I knew going in. One of the things I appreciate about this series is how the author weaves fact with fiction.

I didn't until I read the author's notes.

I don’t know what made me check. I googled Ratcliffe Highway, just trying to figure out geographically where it was and the link to the murders appeared! I hadn’t gotten that far into the story when I discovered it.
