Mark Pghfan | 95 comments I believe Three Blind Mice started out as a short radio play written for Queen (Mother, at this point) Mary. Then it became the famous full length play and then this story.

Raymunda (raymundaj) I've read the first one, Three Blind Mice. It is a great story, full of twists and false hints. The only problem is that I guessed the ending which is a bit disappointing to me (I prefer to be surprised at the last chapter!)

Brooklyn Tayla (bookishbrooklyn) | 121 comments I've read many of the Poirot short stories, having been featured in "Poirot Investigates."

They were all so great & refreshing. Loved them. Especially "The Adventure of Jonnie Waverley."

I'm in the midst of listening to "Poirot's Early Cases." They're delicious too! Being narrated by the great David Suchet & Hugh Fraser is just the greatest thing! I do wish though that they would read as their respective roles..it's unsettling listening to Hugh read as Poirot. He does it well though. Just not as well as David Suchet, who is perfection.

I digress. I've not yet read "Three Blind Mice" as of yet. I will though, naturally. ;)

Raymunda (raymundaj) I've already read half of the stories in the book and I must say I'm really enjoying this read. So far, Miss Marple is the protagonist in almost all of the stories.
I haven't read any of Christie's short story collections before and I find these very clever, original and different from other AC's works I've read before.
I will definitely look for "Poirot Investigates" as recommends Brooklyn.

Brooklyn Tayla (bookishbrooklyn) | 121 comments I have so many! I loved the tv adaption of "The Adventure of Clapham Cook", "The Kidnapped Prime Minister" , and "The Theft of The Royal Ruby" to name a few! "Murder in the Mews" is another one. I was so happy to see the addition of Hastings in that episode!!! :)

Raymunda (raymundaj) I just finished The Third Floor Flat and loved it! This one has Poirot in it. I like reading stories with different detectives in the same book.
But my favorite so far is The Case of the Perfect Maid with Miss Marple.

message 8: by Alberto (new) - added it

Alberto I was pretty annoyed that one of the stories gave away the twist in the title.
