ARCs are Advanced Reader Copies that publishers send to reviewers before the publication date, to get publicity. Here the spot where you can celebrate ARCs you've received, give advice and discuss which ones you want to get, or just rant about how hard it is :)

I set up my NetGalley account sometime ago, but I never really asked for an ARC because I thought that someone like me would never get approved XD
I was once contacted by a publisher via Goodreads, and they gave me an ARC of a memoir, but that's all I've ever got. I've received some free copies by authors, but they are all just review requests for already published books.

You should try requesting ARCs on NetGalley. When I first started requesting arcs I had maybe 50 followers on Instagram I got approved for some :)

You should totally try to requesting some because you never know what might happen! I didn't think I would get any of them, since I was getting a bunch of rejections but I still got 4 approved. If you keep requesting, you'll probably get a few, and if don't you can always read the free download ones! :)

I also recently, made an Edelweiss account and there are so many good books on there! The thing is though, that the website is a lot more complicated and apparently there's less of a chance of being accepted there.
So far I've requested
-The Box in the Woods(from the Truly Devious series)
-The Hawthrone Legacy(sequel to the Inheritance Games)
-Journey to the Bottom of the Abyss(sequel to The Light at the Bottom of the World)
-All of Us Villains

I haven't gotten any replies yet except for a decline from All of Us Villains
