Hi Ashley! It’s tough to pick a favorite. I tend to love coming-of-age stories so I am tempted to pick friends to lovers but I seem to be a sucker for enemies to lovers. I love reading about people growing up and evolving.

Thanks Antonella! I get inspiration from a lot of places. Sometimes my own high school and college experiences or those I observe now as an adult. I am also very moved by true stories (I listen to a lot of long form journalism stories on npr) and I have gotten sparks of ideas from real people living amazing stories. Sometimes I am struck by trends and issues, and I’m always inspired by strong females and try to write my female characters real and resilient.

My first and biggest piece of advice is to ditch fear. It will only hold you back. Write, and write what you feel comes naturally. Be yourself and trust your voice. The rest is all just process and business. If you feel a need to create, give in and nurture it!

Hi Jennifer! I desperately want to write a fantasy with a love triangle, but I’m a little intimidated by the idea LOL. I hope to one day though.

J. I would be Elizabeth Bennet. Not because of Darcy, though. I wish I could say the things she does, with conviction.

Katherine - I love coming-of-age love stories. The road from innocence to adulthood hooks me every time!

Love Within Books, great question! I think Waiting on the Sidelines will always be my favorite writing experience. It was my first and was the book I always wanted to read and write. Hardest, hands down, was Cowboy Villain Damsel Duel. That book was my ultimate twist and a foray into sci-fi romance but done my way.
