3. Loved it! I've been reading a lot of psychological thrillers lately & needed a break. This was light, funny & full of yummy recipes that I can't wait to try. I'm a sucker for books with recipes in them.

Great and quick read! Very heartfelt and enjoyable. Just when I thought I had the plot all figured out, a twist came.

Title: The Book of Lost Names
Author: Kristin Harmel
WWII historical fiction about forgers helping Jews (and others) escape France. Really good book. Need to read more by this author.

Key Word: Nine
Title: The Nine: A Gritty Urban Fantasy by C.G. Harris (sci-fi/fantasy)
A FUN book to read - the main character Gabe Gantry is now one of my faves. Witty, sarcastic - he defaults to humor in every situation - even when he should probably shut up! And he lives in the afterlife ... a quick, short read.

(3) I gotta be honest, I haven't read a John Grisham novel in a while. I used to read his novels the moment they hit the shelves....honestly, this book reminded me why I used to be obsessed his novels. It was an engaging read and the characters were well developed and interesting. I read it over a few days and found myself gravitating to it over other books or even tv shows wanting to know what was going to happen next to the characters. I've pick up the second book (Camino Winds) to read next!
Now....what to read for June?! I hope everyone is having as much fun with this challenge as I am! :)

Title: By Book or By Crook
Author: Eva Gates
Completed: 23 May 2021
A great cozy mystery about a library based in a lighthouse. Great characters that become likable from the beginning. Well written and fun to read.

Body in the Book Drop Lynn Cahoon 5/29/21

I love the series Cat Latimer that this is a prequel to. We see what Cat Latimer (originally Gibson in this story) was doing as a grad student and TA. She got her first taste of sleuthing a murder. Just as awesome as the regular books, and I'm pretty sure the author actually did write this before she wrote any of the regular series.

Title: The Art of Happiness: A HandBOOK for Living
Author: the Dalai Lama
Completed: this week
Been meaning to read this for awhile. I needed it after a trying school year. Hoping to take wisdom from this book and apply it to my life.

Key Word: Book
Paris by the Book by Liam Callanan
Chasing dreams and realizing 'adulting' is hard but worth it.
Parenting as a team vs alone. The Red Balloon a book by Albert Lamorisse takes a much bigger part of the book than it shpuld, IMO.

Key Word: Lake
Read: The Boy and the Lake by Adam Pelzman
Interesting take on the 60’s from a Jewish point of view, partial based on the politics of the time. But that’s only part of the picture, and main story line revolves more around what is deemed acceptable and what is not in the society in their neighborhood. And what people are willing to do to keep the status quo, protecting their lifestyle, their family, and their vision of the American dream. Nice twist in the end.

Interesting book with God and the devil as characters basically fighting over the MC
