Share your thoughts here about The Space Between Worlds by Micaiah Johnson - spoilers ahead!

MadProfessah (madprofesssah) | 174 comments I read it Several weeks ago. I thought it was good but with significant flaws. The main character is interestingly nuanced but I didn’t really care about anyone else (except maybe the “bad” guy who is actually good in one of the worlds).

The world was more interesting than this particular plot. I would read another book about how Earth got the way it is portrayed. (Massive climate change, government collapse, feudal society).

aPriL does feral sometimes (cheshirescratch) I really enjoyed it. I never pay too much attention to flaws if the book engages me. Caralee, the main character, is the reason I liked the book so much!

I finished this yesterday and loved it. I think my favorite part is how the various characters were portrayed in the different worlds, just sliiiightly different than where they are in Earth Zero.

As soon as we found out that Caralee wasn't Caramenta, I suspected that there was some history with Dell that Caralee wasn't aware of. I'm glad they found happiness at the end.

Elizabeth Park (elpark) I was also a little more intrigued by the world than by the character and her arc, but both kept me reading. It's good to show that the method of traveling from world to parallel world takes a toll, and I really enjoyed the twists of plot. The love story felt a little contrived, but still okay.

Wekoslav Stefanovski (swekster) | 42 comments Wow, this was good. It's a psychothriller, with very few characters, but each of them is multiple personas on different Earths. Surprisingly, the plot is relatively straightforward, for such a complicated world.

The writing is exquisite - I've enjoyed every bit of it. The topics the story deals with are not for the faint of heart, but they are handled honestly and openly.

I would just love to see this as a movie with the same actor playing different personas.

Infosifter | 6 comments I loved the narrative voice and the social commentary. I wasn't thrilled with the romance, but anyone who reads my reviews and comments is getting used to that by now. (LOL) I can't wait to see what this author does in the future!

Alan Lewis | 0 comments Recently finished. Just let it sit for a bit. I enjoyed the ideas of interdimensional travel and the variations of the characters. I would to find out how Earths became the societies as they were portrayed, although as I have traveled the Mojave Desert I can picture that as a backdrop to her setting in this novel. A prequel would fit nicely. As is it was an enjoyable read even though it took me a little bit to grab me. I likely would pick up her next.
