Write down what you thought bout the May BOTM: The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune

I loved, loved LOVED this book. It's my all time favourite and I recommend it to everyone. It has superheroes, LGBTQ romance and loveable characters that you're just here for. Oh and secret identities. Lots and lots of secret identities! I loved the scenes with Nick and his attempts at becoming an extraordinary himself and the plot with Shadow Star and Owen's dad's business. I can't wait to see what Flash Fire has in store for us. I love this series so much <3

Okay, I finished this and it was honestly a slow start for me, because it was VERY YA/melodramatic for me and I wasn't sure I really got all the jokes. And yet I kept going, partly because I loved Nick and his dad's interactions and I also really loved Seth and his bowties. And once I adjusted myself to the drama of young love and teen angst, I found this to be a delightful book.

Yay! I'm glad to hear it! It was slow at the very beginning but I think after the 92 pages mark it started to really pick up. The book still remains my favourite book to date XD

I think this would make a fun movie, done right!

It would! The whole book has amazing imagery! It was as if I could see everything play out perfectly in my mind! I can't wait for Flash Fire though. July can't come soon enough XD

Ok, I've finally finished it and I enjoyed it! I did find it to be a little too dramatic and I wanted things to move along a bit faster at the start, but other than that, I thought that it was good. I generally liked the characters, the rep and the relationships between the characters.

Yay! So glad you liked it! I read this book with my irl book club and they said it was slow at the start too. I think it was after the 90-132 pages mark that things really went going.

Same!! I loved The Extraordinaries and I'm hoping to read its sequel after my current read
