SA Book & Challenge Lovers discussion

This seasonal challenge will run from 10 May 2021 until 31 August 2021 with 12 (twelve) tasks for completion.

Nomination rules:

The theme is Winter.

Each person may nominate 2 (two) tasks related to the theme.

You may not nominate a task that requires participants to read a specific book, author or genre.

You may not nominate a specific format - books may be read as paper, audio or electronically.

Please check that there is a wide selection of books available to meet your task.

Books must be at least 150 pages, graphic novels not allowed.

Nominations close on 9 May 2021.

If we receive more than 12 nominations, we will use a random number generator to determine the final tasks.

1. Read a book that has snow or snowflakes on the cover
2. Read a book that has a predominantly white cover

3. Read a book that has the word Winter in the title or the author's name (First names or surname)
4. Read a book set in any of the five cities which hosted the Winter Olympics thus far in the 21st century, viz. Salt Lake City (2002), Turin/Torino (2006), Vancouver (2010), Sochi (2014), Pyongyang (2018).

5. Read a book that has Fire on the cover

6. Read a "cosy" favourite. Something you have read before that is either nostalgic or comforting.

I know she is low key doing the Bingo challenge, so I though this would be another one she can do.

Carolien, I think we forgot to say that on Saturday we can nominate again if we don't have enough. So if you have nominated before today, you can nominate again :)

9. Read a book where someone is warmly dressed on the cover

10. Read a book that has a creature/animal on the cover that thrives in snow. Example, polar bear, dear, wolf, reindeer, abominable snowman...

10. Read a book where the characters have to deal with snow - for example, either a mention of a snow storm or having to shovel snow

11. Read a book where the characters bake / cook
