Bit of a slow start but I'm glad I stuck with it. Smart, witty and original - it's a monster of a book but I really enjoyed it.

Yes! Worth sticking with, but it can be quite a haul with all the footnotes. :)
This book is in my top five favourite novels. I so want to re-read it now.
