OK, great, outside confirmation, I'll email support!

Wouldn't have known to do that without this. Peculiar...
(I do hope html capability will be kept in the next iteration of the site, and this isn't some step 'forward' leaking into the code already).

And yes, did just that. I guess for the time being the method will be: format a message > ctrl-a ctrl-c > clear all html > post > edit > ctrl-a ctrl-v > post.
(It's a rare occurrence I could leave a message unedited, anyway :P Always gotta be tinkering *heh*)

Oh, gosh. Where will we go, when it decides to quit..."
I hope StoryGraph gets groups soon, because I worry too...

If anyone would like to connect on Storygraph, here's my profile (not up-to-date though, can't manage two accounts at once): https://app.thestorygraph.com/profile...

Well, technically one could save even the time of clearing the html by formatting message, copying it, posting a couple of dots and then pasting in the whole message in edit :P
Oh, GR. You run like decades outdated software.

Goodreads... Always improving the site.
'Scuse me while I go dip my hands in bleach for typing such blasphemy.

On LT they make up for a lot, at least for me, with the groups. There are some groups where the members who want to can each create their own “reading journal” thread and talk about what they’re reading, with as little or as much detail as they want. Other members follow the threads of people they have interests in common with and comment whenever they have things to say.
In truth, I have far more conversations about the books I review in my thread on LT than I do in comments on my reviews here on GR, which isn't to say that I don't very much enjoy and appreciate comments here -- I do! I just get more of them on LT. LT doesn't have a group anywhere close to the scale of this one though as far as I know, with our huge number of members, great general discussions, and lots of regular and active group reads.
I do have complaints about LT, as well as other things I like about it better than GR, but they're such different sites. Sometimes I feel like the only person who's relatively active on both, because it seems most people strongly prefer one over the other.

I got a reply from support but it was just the standard thanks for telling us, we’ll look into it.

It does appear to be fixed already

And yes always on desktop like anyone who values what’s left of their sanity.

Indeed.

(Yes, it's a nightmare because I've chosen to make it complicated, but that's beside the point.)
