Asaria | 814 comments Out of curiosity, I've grabbed a more academic, literal translation in Polish. I loved this Epic on my previous readings so I didn't expect it would affect my impressions as much as it did. As a consolation prize, Krystyna Łyczkowska also includes other lesser-known versions, such as Hittite, which are nice to have. That said, I'm tempted to reread either Mitchell (Eng) or Stiller (PL)'s poetic version :)

I am definitely going to reread Gilgamesh: A New English Version. I don't do well with old language or overly scholarly translations

I'm probably going to skip rereading this one because I have so much reading to do, and there are quite a few things we're reading this round. But I would like to see what everyone discusses. :)

I read this a few times in college classes and always enjoyed it.
