Kim also has to do appraisals of her team and does so with each. What more did you learn about each of them through these discussions?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments We learn how much Kim thinks of her team. She is happy with their performance. She praises them all. She wants to give them the experience and chance to advance their careers. It is a little sad looking back, at how much Dawson wanted her to give him some extra encouragement, but Kim held off for later.

It is a reminder not to expect tomorrow.

Jo Ann (jojog) | 104 comments It was important to each of them that Kim was pleased with their performance. Maybe even without knowing it, they strive to get what little praise Kim doles out. It's just not in her personality to heap praise on her team so here was a chance for a pat on the back.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) The assessments just proved how connected and in tune Kim is to her team. It's interesting that Kim herself would say she is not a people person or intuitive to other's feelings but she seems to realize what is required to provide the incentive to get the best out of her team. I hope she accepts Bryant's reason for wanting to stay the 2IC . And how sad that Kev will never know how pleased she was with his progress.

With each of them, we got a little bit more of their stories. Bryant perfect illustration of why he doesn’t want a leadership position. I was blown away by Stacey’s recount of the overheard conversation between Woody and Kim. No wonder she’s so devoted to Kim. It answered a lot of questions…she’s not so much insecure as not wanting to let Kim down.

And then there’s Kevin. In that session, Kim got that he wanted to be a better man to support his family and team. And, I believe Kevin walked away getting what he wanted from Kim…affirmation that’s she thought him ready for promotion. Otherwise, she would have said he wasn’t ready an he knew that.

Lynn (ftbooklover) I loved the metaphor that Bryant used to explain why he liked the job he was in.
