After Joanna Wade is run down and killed, it becomes clear that the secret society has a deeply rooted, long standing network. Kim also makes the connection that “illegal terminations” have something to do with Sadie’s murder, leading them to former student, Lorraine Price, who died in a pool accident 25 years earlier. Who began to rise as suspects at this point?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I was still at a loss. It still seems like it was students but an adult was pulling the strings.

Jo Ann (jojog) | 104 comments By this point, I was sure that some of the parents were mixed up in the deaths.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) I was thinking (correctly as it turned out) that past staff and parents of the Cards were involved. That the case of Lorraine had direct links to what was happening now.. I just wasn't sure what that was.

The introduction of the Lorraine Price case confused me mightily. Yes, by now I knew the adults were involved but I couldn’t establish a link to Sadie. Like Sharon, I felt clueless.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I remembered that Joanna Wade had given the poem to Graham Steele to look over. She retrieved it to give it to Kim but ended up dead. At that point, Graham became my main suspect. I guessed that he had seen the word "Aborted" in the poem and knew what Sadie was alluding to. I thought he was the father of someone's baby (probably Saffie) and he killed Sadie to cover up what she knew. When we learned about Lorraine Peters being pregnant when she died and that Graham would have been at the school at the same time, I thought he was the father of that baby. I actually never thought about Sadie's parents being a direct link to Lorraine Peter's murder.

Nice deduction, Robin!

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments When Joanna Wade died, I started thinking about faculty. I didn't focus on Graham because I disliked the gym teacher so much. Every time we saw him bully Geoffrey, I thought he could be a killer.

Lynn (ftbooklover) I agree with Sharon that I was lost at this point. It almost seemed like two different cases at that point.
