Technically, this book is historical fiction that cleverly intertwines biopics of famous names in physics and mathematics into a short story format. However, if you didn't know it was fiction, you'd swear it was non-fiction . . .that's how realistic it is, except for these tiny tidbits that hint of something else. In addition, Labatut manages to cleverly link one discovery to another in intriguing ways.

An intellectual roller coaster of a book for the science-minded . . .engaging, clever, educational, and unique.

My only qualm is that a large portion is devoted to quantum mechanics, and if you've never been exposed to it before, I'm not sure how that might impact your enjoyment of the book. I've read other books on the topic (non-fiction), and I still find it hard to grasp the big picture (never mind the nuances).
