Valerie | 280 comments Having a relative with Alzheimer's, this book was extremely poignant to me. But, at the same time, it had some humor that allowed me to be lifted from the situation to realize that this situation is not just me.

The book style is like a comic book, and it took me a little while to relax into the font, and be able to read it. But, once I did, I enjoyed her recollections, and saw my own parents, and in-laws in many of the stories and situations.

The book is on the best seller list, and there is a good reason. It is a good book. I recommend it highly...and, have already lent out my copy to a friend.

Cathy Lewis | 37 comments I'm glad to read this review! I was planning to read this for the graphic novel category.

Shannan | 51 comments I also read this book for this category. Having lost a grandparent to Alzheimers, it was heartfelt and heartbreaking to read, but the humor did rescue it from being maudlin. I enjoyed it.
