I want to be sure i understand this - is the description the title of the task or the way you have fulfilled it?
If it is the way you have fulfilled it is it possible to define in less than 5 words?
will a task be identified as having problems if you use more than 5 words
For example Megs task for Summer means that you could read one book to fulfil the following 4 requirements
a. Number of words in the title (ignore subtitle)
b. Number in a series. The series # must be present in the GR metadata.
c. Number included in page number
d. Year FIRST published ends in number (must be the last number in the year, e.g. 2021 equals a "1" book)
I think this would be difficult to reduce to 5 words even putting
"I rolled a 6 and my first book fulfils all 4 requirements for this task" would be 15 words
I understand it is much easier for the mods if we keep our posts as precise as possible but this seems remarkably strict

You do realize that this has been in the posting requirements for years?

I think the mods are looking for a succinct statement of the task which can run into a LOT of words...enough so they can judge the posting without looking back at the task.
Mods, if this doesn't work for you, let me know.
As I said before, this has been the requirement for years now. Some folks had decided that they should post the entire task, including all examples in the post - not necessary, confusing, etc.
It has not been a problem since then. Just post the name and number of the task - if you had been doing something wrong, you would have been called out on this long ago.

Actually No I didn't know this was old AND I have read the posting requirements every season since it changed to one post per task. I obviously missed this on more than one occasion. My post was a genuine question I was not trying to be awkward

I exclusively listen to audiobooks so I always check the page count to make sure it's 100+. There is no MMPB for this book, but when I look under Paperback, the edition that appears on the top of the list is clearly a different book. It's in another language so I don't know what it says, but it has 45 pages, a different cover that doesn't look at all similar to the real cover, and it says it's #6 in a series when my book is a standalone. The next paperback edition is 206 pages so there's a big difference.
If I post this book as a completed challenge, will I run into trouble? I don't plan on using it for a task that actually has a page count requirement (as in 2 books combined must have 500+ pages).
Please advise. Thanks in advance for your help!

i separated that edition out - since it doesn't fit - it looks like that translation may have broken the one book into multiple smaller books - so this is book 6 of it

Thank you so much!

Pity the rejected title doesn't have that, too.

I appreciate that you indicated where the information came from that was used to make the decision. I disagree, but that's fine. This one is even less an "atlas" than the other one, but at least I know it's not arbitrary because of the title. Thanks for checking.

Correct.
From Default rules:
6. What about authors with hyphenated names?
We treat hyphenated words, including names, as one word. Therefore, John Jones-Smith has the initials JJ, not JS.

thanks my brain must be fried today

So what should we do if the correct volume to link to doesn't give page numbers and we can't find them anywhere?
Thanks.

I just came across this, in fact 2 of us just had that exact issue resolved in the ebook verification thread, so you could post there (or maybe librarians thread, since the fix is to add the page numbers to the GR record?) So weird that this happens, when GR and Amazon should be using the same data.

I'm a librarian on GR, too. Though you don't have to be to add page numbers, I don't think. But if I can't find the page number there's nothing to add...
I wondered about going to the ebook thread and getting it at least verified as being long enough. I'll see the what the official answer is, but thanks for your input. :)

If you are unable to have a librarian add the page numbers to a print edition you can have the book approved for 100+ pages at ebook verification.

Task 25.7 option 3 requires a book be set at least 50% in Florida or Texas and says if it's not apparent in the GR description or metadata to provide a link to confirm the location.
I can't find one from the author or publisher! I read the first book in this series for option 4 of the same task and discovered it's set in Jacksonville FL. So I read the second book for option 3. But none of the books in the series list a location on GR. Neither does the author's website (although it says she lives in Florida.) I've got quotes from the book that say where it is and I've got two bloggers who have written about the series, and they state the location is Jacksonville - but that's it. Is this acceptable?
Book I want to claim is A Tiger's Tale
Thanks!

Those would work to establish the setting.
So does the description at Stop, You're Killing Me! "Grace Wilde, an animal behaviorist who can communicate psychically with animals, in Florida, in the Call of the Wilde series:"
