Natalia’s note made it clear she was part of old Russian intelligence. The bounty list included Joy Hayes, Zack’s mother and Dax’s father. It was also apparent that she’d been planted as Zack’s nanny to spy on his father. What theories are you now entertaining?

I think Natalia was more than Zach's nanny. I think that she and Zach's father were lovers and Sergei is Zach's half brother.

This is also one of my theories.

Another one of my theories is that Constance Hayes lost her baby, and Zach's father, who was obsessed with having a son bought Natalia's son to pass off as his own. There is no evidence that Natalia's son, Sava, actually died.

In either case, Constance Hayes was killed because she knew the truth.

I even entertained the idea that Sergei and Zach are the same person for exactly 5 seconds. I ruled this out because Zach is not a traitor and Sergei is obviously in kahoots with the Russians.

Oh, my goodness! These are great!!! I can see both working.

I thought she was the mistress working as the nanny to cover the relationship.

I really like the idea that the sons were switched. That would be a great twist.

How about Sergei and Sava being the same person?

That is also an option. My only question then would be, why the SIDs explanation?

I can see them being the same person. Possibly Natalia had the SIDS story contrived to place him into safety.

I think it could be worked just about anyway. It will be fun to see what it turns out to be.

I think we need more information on why Natalia would need to fake Sava's death and change his identity to Sergei. I look forward to finding out if this is the case.

I’m considering all theories at this point. I’m not convinced of any particular path yet but all of these are possibilities.

I'm looking forward to getting more information. I wonder how many clues we will get in the next book.

Since Dax's father had his reputation trashed and was killed, presumably by the Russians, we should get some more clues.

I love all of your scenarios but I think we will need to get more info to decide for sure.

Or, maybe Sava's Identity was changed to Zach? Then who is Sergei? Could Zach's Russian codename be Sergei? This is shaping up to be quite a conspiracy.
