I took a while to warm to this one, partly because of the bleak, and cold setting and the layers of drab in the 1670's Dutch town, but the main character is funny, and engaging, and the mystery itself was eventually very compelling. My review here for Death in Delft:

End of Financial Year always short of reading time, so I am running very late finishing this one, but thoroughly enjoyed it, and have added the series to my TBA.

I have read a few books with historic settings, and with "side characters" being real historic figures - I enjoy that!
