Ketutur, please add the genre (e.g., MG/ YA fantasy) and more plot details to the header/ topic title. You can copy and paste from what you've already written. Many people only scan the headers, and we have thousands of requests.

But... maybe someone remembers...

I started reading this book maybe 10 years ago? I'm pretty sure it's written in 21st century (doesn't limit it much). But 10s, perhaps.
It is a classic fantasy, I think, with a family, mom, dad, kids, living outside the village, maybe? For some reason I'm thinking about a cliff by the sea.
They might have been carpenters, or bookbinders or something or other (yeah, I know, very helpful). Maybe apothecar...er...what's that called... pharmacists? Herbalists? Maybe the mother of the family was the midwife?
They loved each other very much. There was some tender teasing and big brother taking care of smaller siblings. Or at least that's the feeling I have.
They had to be careful because there was a secret, or maybe the high and mighty people were bit of nazis, and punished people if they were doing something the rulers thought was unacceptable. Can't remember. There was this hush hush feeling.
And I think there was an attack, of dragons, or fireballs or something or other... Or maybe an earthquake or tsunami... can't remember that well. Dragons would be a good fit, because I love them, and I would read most anything with dragons.
It was the first book of a series, or a stand alone.
Could have been middlegrade or YA. I think it was rather soft and gentle and light in tone.
I think the MC was the daughter of the family, but could have been a son. Maybe they had some magical abilities, they had to keep silent about.
Frankly, the only thing I'm sure about is that there was this family, a whole and wholesome family, where everyone was kind and loving and it was really sweet, and very rare in fantasy books.
Does this ring a bell?
