So, I think I read this book when I was in middle school (2006-2008) and it's about ghosts that take over peoples bodies once they leave them. Like if a druggie overdoses (main guy) or if a teen girl is so emotionally dead from her parents (main girl). The guy and girl ghosts that take over the bodies either fall in love or were married in real life before they died. The girl ghost had a baby and her and her baby drowned in their house. There are demons that can go in the bodies too, I think. I don't know how long the ghosts can stay in the bodies, but I remember they talked about needing to cross over soon towards the end of the book. TIA!
