Have you ever felt that the books of a certain series were good to read but overall the series wasn't so much? Or that you enjoyed the books but the concept on which the series is based isn't good enough so you won't recommend it?

Yes! There's so many.

I liked Beautiful Darkness and Beautiful Chaos in the Caster Chronicles series but I wasn't a huge fan of the other two books. With the spin off series to the Caster Chronicles, I liked Dangerous Creatures but didn't like Dangerous Deception too much.

With the Matched trilogy, I only really liked the final book.

With the Giver, the first book was good then everything went downhill fast...

I liked The Selection but disliked The Elite so I'm unsure about finishing the series as I've heard it doesn't get better.

Yes, there are some:

I never finish past the 3rd book of The Selection and would never recommend they for anyone.

I liked the first book of Pretty Little Liars but the serie was a mess.

I liked some books of Sookie Stackhouse but I HATE the serie with all my heart, the way it went downhill after the 8th book make me want to cry.

I liked some books of Princess Diaries too but the 6th book (if I'm not wrong) is a mess and I didn't have patience to finish the serie.

The Selection does not get better and if it's possible it only gets worse.
