Angie (angabel) http://www.flickr.com/photos/phantoma...

I stumbled across this set while surfing flickr today. She has a blog too: ofbooks.blogspot.com

It takes a few things to pull something like this off: creativity, which is bound to grow as she continues the set, and professionalism, however one might want to define that. In this case, all of the shots are nice and clear and the background remains constant. They're great pictures for a great idea, rather than so-so pictures for a great idea.

I'm a little bummed at her falling back on the "tiger" part of The White Tiger but I admit, I don't know what else she could have done for that book (without ceasing the use of the grey backdrop).

Thoughts?

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Angie, this was fantastically entertaining! I love this reviewer's creativity, and I love her photos. I'm tempted to copy her idea, at least once or twice, anyways.
Thanks for the link!

Stephen (stephenT) Wow, that is fantastic! She not only reviews, she shows. Wait...show, don't tell! We should become fans of hers and send her a Montambo cake.

Thoughts, Angie? I wish I'd thought of that myself!!!! lol I love it. Thank you.

Abigail (42stitches) | 150 comments Her face is wildly expressive. I try not to read reviews, but I love the pictures. I was trying to guess which books they might be when they weren't totally noticeable. Lol

Sandi (sandikal) I read a couple of her reviews. I especially liked her review of The Secret Life of Bees.

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I realize this is off topic, but when I read this headline I immediately thought it was about the uproar over Meghan McCain's attention-getting photo of herself with a book:

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Well, Warhol's hair is a little messy in the photo...I can see why it's controversial...

She may be a Republican, but I love Meghan McCain. And her big boobies.

She shouldn't have apologized whatsoever. It's her Twitter page, she should do whatever she sees fit. I find it extremely hypocritical for her "fans" to call her out on that pic - which, in my opinion, is sexy yet pretty harmless - yet no one calls out the moronic likes of Michelle Malkin or Ann Coulter for their racist rhetoric.

Meghan McCain is a breath of fresh air, as opposed to the toxic fumes that the GOP seems to be more concerned about brewing.
