After they discover the blue cleaning cloth at the Mancini home, Bryant and Kim begin to question whether there was too much science supporting the guilt of the Mancini men. Did you have the same sense? What did you think was going on? Were you convinced of their guilt?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I was suspicious because it was too easy for a Kim Stone book. When the clues are this easy for them to find, it is a misdirection.

~Teresa This killer appeared to be way to smart to have left clues lying around. I was surprised there was even a consideration the Mancini father and son had been involved. It was the only part of the book that I questiones, it made no sense.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments As Bryant mentioned, you rarely get any good forensic evidence and they had a ton of it pointing to one person. That seemed very convenient.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I'm wondering if this is showing how off Kim is. She didn't have her normal police senses working for most of the case.

~Teresa Sharon, what you said makes the most sense to me. She was very off because she is extremely good at what she does and we didn’t see that as much in this book. We saw more emotion!

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) Yes, Immediately thought it was all too easy and they were being set up by the real killer. Kim was a bit off her game due to her unresolved feelings about Kev and what she saw as her part in this death. She wasn't thinking as clearly as normal.

I thought the killer was much too smart to have left all of this evidence in plain sight. Yeah, Kim was definitely off but her instincts were screaming at her, along with Bryant.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) Kim and Bryant even on an off day are probably more effective than a lot of other police!

Good point.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) Did anyone think when Bryant was in the hospital that we finally might find out his first name? When they were having their heart to heart would have been a perfect time for the author to divulge it. But no.. we still wait..

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 9285 comments Mod
I thought when they included his wife here, name and all, we’d get Bryant’s first name, too. At this point, I want a big deal made about it in the future!

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) It's probably something really ordinary like John, LOL.

Yeah, we may be underwhelmed😏

message 15: by Lynn (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lynn (ftbooklover) We've all read enough of these books to know that evidence doesn't line up that well.
