Would You Survive in the Wilderness?



✨You are a novice soldier, who dreams to join the King’s Elite army. You have excelled the initial tests required to join the elite army and now only one final test remains!
You will have to survive the woods especially maintained by the kingdom, to test the abilities of novice soldiers, where you’ll meet with every possible situation, and danger.

A series of 12 such situations will take you through the wilderness and to the end, where a chest awaits, with a stone carved in your name and your goal is to not only survive the woods, but attain that stone, which will be the ultimate proof of your success, the ultimate entry pass to the Elite army of the King.

Do you think you can conquer the woods and join the Elite army? Do you have what’s required to achieve this goal?

Challenge Type: Individual
Challenge Runtime: 9 weeks starting from 21st June PST till 30th August PST.

About the Challenge:-
1. There is a set of 12 situations. As soon as you complete one situation by reading a book for it, next will be posted.
2. Each situation has 4 or 5 possible courses of action. And each such action could only be completed by reading 1 book for it.

How do you play?

✨For each situation presented to you, you choose any 1 option and then, spin this wheel: https://wheeldecide.com/wheels/chance...

If you get "Yes", then you will survive through the situation and so, complete the prompt for the action you initially chose. If you get "No", then you won't survive through the situation by choosing that option. So, in this case, choose another option and repeat the process.

Surviving through all 12 situations would lead you to the end of the journey and into the King's Elite Army. We'll see who attains their name stone the earliest and they will be the ones which will be called "The Chosen". There will be other title prizes which will be awarded at the end of the challenge.

✨Along with these 12 situations, you might also go through some other unanticipated situations, which might earn you Star Points, which can be helpful in elevating your rank within the Elite Army, from Elite Soldier to next higher levels, namely Special and Star soldiers.

Everyone will begin with this situation:-

Start: With the sunrise, you, with every other novice soldier, have reached the dangerous forest which will decide your destiny. Although all of you are together here, you will have to survive alone. You start to think.

Situation 1: What is the first thing you would do if in the wilderness alone?

Course of Actions:-
1. Scream a lot because I am scared.
Read a book with the word “Scream” found in text.

2. Forage for berries
Read a book with title having at least 4 letters from “Berries”

3. Find a water source.
Read a book where water is an important part of the book.

4. Make shelter.
Read a book where the word "shelter" is found in text.

You'll have to select 1 option and get "Yes" through the wheel to survive the situation. If you get "No", you choose another option.

After, since the wheel will be basically deciding the prompt. But if the book you are reading fits the prompt, then it will work too.

Considering that there are only 4 prompts - What if I get 'No' on all 4 spins on the wheel??

Any minimum length for the novel? Short Stories allowed?

That case is improbable but if it happens, you are allowed to choose any option then.
The minimum page count is 150 pages. Short stories are allowed only if it is at least 200 pages.

No, for this challenge books started from 20th June and after can count.

The Star Point situations are for extra star points. These are optional to complete.
You'll get Situation 1 soon, and as soon as you complete Situation 1, Situation 2 will be posted and so on. These are regular Situations necessary to complete to proceed further.

Fits book that's setting near the water? I read a book where river goes through the town where characters are living. They go there for swimming/picnic several times. But is it enough?

Well, by important, we mean that it plays an important role such as a battle is fought alongside a shore a the river makes all the difference? etc., or is a special ability like in a fantasy. Sorry, but I can't say this is enough.

Since this is a Survival Test, you may encounter some hurdles during your journey.

So, everyone can read any book they like, until Situation 5, after that, Mangas and any kind of graphic novels cannot be read.
