Anipals Read discussion

We need a new way to announce and track #readpawty events and send out reminders. I was thinking a closed group (or open if you prefer) in FB, but I know not everyone is on FB. What do you think? Do you have a better suggestion? How many of you know about mewe? Or CanBeSocial, although I'm not sure Snuffy's maintaining it even though it's still in use.

Heard from Bode and they're ok with FB.

I've also heard from Katiebella and she's also ok with FB.

I only have FB and Twitter. Aside from Katie's blog, mine and the Admiral's.

I"m not sure Twitter's the best place for announcing stuff and organizing though. Stuff gets lost and buried in the conversations. Raven put together a calendar in an app call TeamUp that I like. I'm gonna ask her to post a link to it here so everyone can check it out. I think if we pair that with Twitter and FB, it would work well.

Raven - I noticed I can share it via Twitter and FB. I think if we post each new readpawty on the calendar and then share it on FB and Twitter, that should work for everyone. I can also create an event on FB since most of us are on there. We've never really tracked RSVP's anyway. It's more about getting the word out and being able to get a reminder out since we only meet every other month.

I'm going to set up a group on FB and post events there. If you want to be part of it, please email me with your FB address. I know most of you there, but I don't know everyone's FB ID. Also, I'm going to make the group public unless anyone wants it private. If even 1 pal wants it private, I'll make it private. I’m in for FB or whatever else you decide…will we keep tweeting? Or will this replace that? Asking cause I do FB, but Luka doesn’t…and I like letting him play with his pals!

I've set up a group in FB call Anipals Read. I"ll announce things there and with the #readpawty hashtag on Twitter. Well still meet on twitter as always. Also Raven set up a calendar where we can post events, so we have three ways to announce things. The link for the calendar is in Raven's post in this thread.
