bhavya Nope, sorry but did not like it. I didn't particularly like Addie, or Henry, or Addie and Henry together (Henry and Ravi were a MUCH better couple) Also the fact that there was no proper plot and a constant and slightly unnecessary switch between the past and the present was irksome. It made it hard for me to stay engaged in the book, although I understand why the writer thought it important to include bits and pieces of Addie's past. I didn't like the direction the story took and I didn't like how it ended either.

I understand why readers don't like it, the author is switching between the past and present which is, yeah, kinda annoying. But I loved it and if you didn't like it, it's perfectly fine!

MK (mkboyd) | 11 comments I actually read it earlier this year and I felt like it was so beautiful! I especially loved how Schwab handled the ending. The premise itself was so intriguing. And maybe it was because it was the middle of covid, but the absolute loneliness of Addie broke my heart.

That’s a very interesting perspective, MK! Thanks for sharing! :)

jess (jess_the_best) | 8 comments The ending got me. I was not expecting it. I knew it was gonna be sad but I was not prepared. I just stared at my wall for ages.

I really liked it! I was trying to explain the plot to my family, and they were just so confused. I think you have to read it to like it, its not really explainable

Briar Ro’Maeve | 35 comments I liked it! The beginning was definitely a little slow and hard to get into but then it started to pick up and I was into it. The ending definitely caught me off guard though

mary (betty’s version) | 16 comments I LOVE THIS BOOKKKK

NothingButBooks (fantasylover123) | 3 comments This book made me sob in class, and I am definitely not a book crier! I loved the ethereal writing and complex characters. Addie was a really strong female lead who was vulnerable and human despite her living through so many decades. I loved the edge of darkness Luc brought to the book, and Henry was so sweet.
