Dale Lehman (dalelehman) | 207 comments I've been interviewed by NFReads.com. You might be able to get an interview there, too, if you contact them and ask. I got an email from them out of the blue. It's one of those "here's some questions; email the answers" sort of interviews.

Helen Gould (helenclairegould) | 130 comments Is it a free interview or one of those things where you pay to be interviewed? If it's free, that's a fab publicity opportunity. If it's a paying interview, it's advertising by the back door - and may not be well-targeted. I'd be very wary if a paid interview.

It's free. (I wouldn't pay to be interviewed, myself.) They also have articles on various subjects. I think it may be a relatively new site being built up, but I'm not sure.

Helen Gould (helenclairegould) | 130 comments Sounds great! I have also received some questions recently (and haven't had much time to fill them out this week, so hope to get back to it next week) after a chat here on Goodreads with a lady called Rita who lives in Australia. She posted a thread on here, and is a lovely lady who interviews an author a week. I know she's booked up till the end of August, but it does seem a great idea to do these things if they're free - and the interviewer also gets a bit of publicity at the same time. I'll check out NF Reads too.

V.M. Sang (aspholessaria) | 230 comments Great to hear about Rita, Helen.
I've done interviews with other writers. Usually ones I 'know' online. I would be willing to do some with other writers. I have a list of questions to send to anyone who would like to be interviewed.
If anyone who is an author would like, we could interview each other.

Michael Scharen | 147 comments Hello fellow authors!

It might be a bit early to tell how things will go but I'll put this out there.

There is a website called -- matchmaker.fm
This is not a dating website but a listing of podcasts and a means of getting yourself booked on one or more of them. Podcasts need content and are constantly on the lookout for more.

The interviews average around 30 minutes each. Once they are done, you have that arrow in your quiver for as long as you feel it is relevant. Post it on your website or splash it around social media for promotion. Or if you are more technically inclined, you can clip key bits from the interview and repackage them to make quick points for those with short attention spans or even include in your own promotional videos.

Three days ago, I spent a couple of hours on the website scouring possibilities and watching/listening to various shows. I put out maybe 12-13 inquiries and already have two bookings.

Don't just stick to the author/book category but pick categories closely related to your book. You've done a lot of research, now you are a quasi-expert in their eyes which is what they are looking for.

Try matchmaker.fm and let us know how it works out for you!
(I have no affiliation with this website as I only just discovered it on YouTube myself through the proprieter's video)

Cheers!
